This is a great park with great shade, and terrible awful Wi-Fi, if you’re counting on using your cell phone are the park Wi-Fi for anything other than maybe getting an email or two you’ll be out of luck.

Very clean crystal clear water! We had a blast and will be back. Bringing a canopy is a game changer! Made it so much more comfortable.

It was really cool here. Our first time here and we had fun! Brought our pooches and had a blast! The only drawback was at the end of the day, everyone out there left their trash all over the place and there are no restrooms so guess what happens. Yup!

Overall, swim at your own risk, no lifeguards, and it's worth the drive. You can swim on either side of the dam and the water temperature is just right.

Good drive and views while getting there. We plan a return visit.

Wes Cooksey Park was really nice. We had no RV when we went but we got day passes for 4 dollars a person. Nice clean relaxing area. Clean restrooms and showers. Fire pits and barbeque pits available. I would recommend this place.

Great place to canoe, tube, star gaze & truly relax. We love the majestic old trees!! Only downside is the lack of internet connection/cell service, which made it challenging for my need to still be working. (If you drive a few minutes to Camp Wood, you can get service.) Otherwise, disconnecting is a blessing! FYI- RV campers are allowed to have dogs, but day campers are not. Our pup loved Cooksey Park.
