Great bike trails.
Bikes go one direction hikers the opposite. It's kind of a hassle having to step off the trail to let the bikers go by but everyone was polite and there were no close calls.
Good trail for Mountain bike or hiking. Total distance is roughly 10 miles. Not a lot of steep climbs but some that will get your legs burning. Several sections to get some speed and have fun. Lots of open areas so keep that in mind in the summer or windy days. Several jumps scattered throughout the trails including a skills section near the top parking lot...you can't miss it.
Spent one night in campsite 10. Spacious, private and quiet. 2 picnic tables and a fire ring. Bathrooms a short walk away. Being on the hilltop was a plus. As was being alongside of a heavily used bike trail.
Beautiful nature park for hiking and mountain biking. There are some picnic areas and we noticed a small pond. FYI - Paths are not designed for strollers.
Erwin Park is a hidden treasure! I had a delightful morning stroll amidst the open plains, and the camp sites and pavilions looked fantastic. The bike paths are a great addition, and it's clear that this park is a popular choice. Can't wait to return with bikes in tow! #SoldByLucie #McKinneyTX 🌳🚴♂️😊
