I went in November and it wasn’t too cold. I drive the whole campground until I found the perfect site that was right up along the waters edge. The toilet was as described but it’s a free camp ground, you can’t have everything.
I planned on pitching my tent but after hanging out for a bit I realized cars were continuing to drive right past my site and park in this hidden little corner where they are hidden to everyone ...... but me. So it was awkward for a bit, cause everyone driving in to do whatever it is they do, would park for maybe 30 seconds, then realize they cold see me and would take off.
I didn’t pitch a tent and just slept in the car because I ended up being the only camper on the grounds and just wanted to be safe.
Beautiful campground though
