Way better than Bastrop lake. So glad I came here. Clean park. Great views and well maintained lands. I wish I had reserved a spot closer to the restrooms. I didn’t realize how long of a walk it was. this park is huge with generous room for RVs.

Campgrounds are nice. Minimal trash on the floor. Restrooms need maintenance. One shower head is broken. The fishing in the spots I went to were not great as I got zero bites. The stargazing is decent too. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

The scenery is absolutely peaceful. HOWEVER, the women's shower needs immediate attention. I’ll start with the showerhead.

1) The showerhead is broken and the detached from the mount, leaving next person having to touch the showerhead with their cooties in order to rinse off.

2) The drainage system floods the shower floor leveling the waste water to rise above your shower shoes, nearly to the top of your feet..EWW.

(What's the purpose of showering if you can't clean your body correctly) I would like to return to this park, however if the shower will remain in such shape, I will crease to come.

The staff is nice and helpful.

Nice clean campgrounds, lots of deer, and big oak trees. You can hear the train come through the nearby town quite often throughout the night. We did the tent camping in the fall, great family-friendly area. Lake was down quite a bit, and the floating boat dock by the ramp was completely on the ground.

Love this park! The spots are all great the water was really low when we went in September but it made for a beautiful sandy beach that you could walk for over a mile. Fun Geo cashing. Bathrooms are very clean and great water pressure and hot water. We’re headed back for New Years weekend! Can’t wait!
