We stayed at St. Clair Family Campground when we first arrived in OBX. The campground is tidy with bathrooms, showers (highly recommend the outdoor shower), laundry, full hookup and even had a place to wash dishes. Pam is an excellent and warm host. She cares about her guests and attends to all of their various needs. We ended up coming back for another night. Great access to the beach (great surfing) and to a nearby skate park so the kids loved it, too. We would definitely go back again!
This is our favorite place to camp! Pam is absolutely great. The views and simplicity of this location are something special! You won’t regret booking here.
We had spot 15 and just loved our view! You can’t beat the price and the location! Pam was very pleasant ..we would stay here again! I herd to leave!
Such a wonderful campground! Has all the amenities you need, including indoor and outdoor showers, a dish washing station right next to the water, and even a washing machine! Great view of the sound in the backyard, with a beautiful sandbar and plenty of space to relax by the water. Multiple beach access points within walking distance, as well as stores and rental shops for bikes and golf carts. The owner is welcoming, and the prices are right 👌🏽 DOG FRIENDLY (and cats too)!!!
A small privately owned campground near Rodanthe, NC on Hatteras Island. If you're looking for an big resort type campground, this probably isn't for you. It's nothing fancy, but it's nice and quiet and the people (staff and campers) are very friendly. Loved the outdoor showers at the bathhouse when we returned from the beach. No worries about golf carts riding around at all hours kicking up dust and making noise. Pam answered any questions we had and was very helpful. This is truly a hidden gem among the big resort campgrounds across the street. Beautiful sunset views on the sound. A short distance from restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back.
