Solomon Lake offers a developed site in a remote area, with moderate road access. Solomon Lake is locally popular and receives heavy use. Facilities are best suited for single families or groups with a focus on day use. Camping and large group use are common, in addition to short term fishing and picnicking.
Travel north from Bonners Ferry to the Three Mile Junction (US 95 and US 2), then turn east (right) on US 2 for 7 miles (11.2 km) to County Road #72 (old US 2). Proceed north (left) for 3 miles (4.8 km), then north again (left) on Deer Creek-Spread Creek Road #435 for 1 mile (1.6 km). Turn east (right) on Skin Creek Road #627 and continue for 0.4 mile (0.6 km). Take the road heading northeast (the major road to the left) for 1.9 miles (3 km). Finally, take the northwest (left) fork onto Solomon Lake Road #2404 and continue 0.7 mile (1.1 km) to the lake.
Quiet n beautiful little lake. Clear enough to see the panfish swimming below the surface. Nice place to kayak and fish for panfish and trout. Boat ramp, two campsites and rest room privy.
This is 4x4 territory, so not allot of people come up here, unless they have a Subaru or 4x4!!!
It has camp sites and a bathroom. Would need a canoe to row out to fish though. You have to walk in, and around the banks to bank fish, no dock. Its quiet, and beautiful ❤
