Great pull-in spot, we are so happy being close to the restroom/shower/laundry facility, dog run near by plus waste stations. No internet and the tower hasn’t worked in a week so we are unable to even purchase internet because it is down and the internet company see’s no time frame if it will ever come up while we’re here. Campers are friendly especially people from other states. The campground seems a little dated, relaxing. Love all the Christmas spirit the campers have
They claim they have no control over the internet service that is offered on their checking paperwork yet it isn’t available at our site due to a hardware issue but in reality they should at least have the ability to tell the provider that this service is important to their guests and should be fixed expediently. No control? They should have ultimate control to tell them fix it or get the hell out! Their excuses are lame and shows contempt for the guests. They should get off their chairs and make a phone call to raise hell for a circumstance that is at least a week going on two weeks (that we were made aware of by calling their tech support number three times in an attempt to connect) with no service.
If you were here to visit the theme parks and other attractions around Orlando it would be ideal. We picked this location because we could get in and not for any other reason. Traffic is heavy as you might expect. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic but this is not what I imagine when I think of resort. The site we have is small and it's muddy since there has been a lot of rain. The rvs are packed in pretty tight.
These are not real reviews. Think 1000 trails membership people who live for almost nothing. Think cars parked everywhere on the very narrow strips of pavement and not enough room to even pull your rig in. Ask to drive around before committing. It’s a bad sign to see trailers without trucks and just cars. For $100, you’ll ALSO have to pay for a hotel because it’s so sketchy. Why would anyone say management is rude? It’s non existent.
We had the pleasure to stay at Sherwood Forest. We had the opportunity to walk and enjoy what the park had to offer, there is so much to do and see.
We absolutely enjoyed meeting the grounds keeper Tony, he absolutely MADE our entire week. He has the best humor and friendly presence, that every business should have working for them.
Thank you for allowing us to be apart of such a great experience. We will see you again.
We stayed here in the past and although nothing fancy, the location was good and we didn't have any issues. However, we booked a stay (reservation made/confirmed in Dec 2023) for winter of 2024 and today (Feb 16th, 2024) they called and said they we couldn't have the spot we booked because someone was in it and wasn't going to move, the rate we confirmed wouldn't be honored (and it would be +$2000 more), and we would have to adjust our dates. I have a confirmation email but they wouldn't honor any of it. As most know, if you don't book a year out in FL, it's hard to find a spot and since they are not honoring their confirmation, we will have to re-plan. Not good management in my opinion.
