About Campground

Madison Vines RV Resort & Cottages (the “Property”) is now open after a complete renovation. This will be the tenth totally renovated, sparkling RV resort managed by RV Management Services (“RVMS”) whose other properties are very highly rated by the Good Sam Campground Guide (five properties at a PERFECT 10 / 10* / 10, with the remaining RV resorts all rated in the 9s and 10s).

Located about 25 miles northeast of Charlottesville (the University of Virginia) and about 80 miles southwest of Washington, DC (monuments galore), this hospitable property is nestled in the famous fox hunting region of the Shenandoah Valley with its gentle wooded hills and miles of nearby hiking trails is surrounded by more than 30 wineries and 20 breweries. With Luray Caverns, Montpelier, Monticello, and Skyline Drive nearby, the location is dramatic and full of treasure.

Our new resort-style Pool has a “whale station” on one side and a “bubbler pad” for kids on the other side while our new 16-foot Spa is kept at about 102 degrees during the summer months with 12 intense jets of water massaging.

Awesome campground. We stayed here on our return trip from our first travel camping excursion, and we were so happy we did. We only booked a few days, but wish we had stayed longer. The sites are roomy and nicely spaced, the campground was beautifully maintained, and the pool and hot tub and other amenities were immaculate. I will go so far as to say that their bathrooms were by far the best I’ve experienced while camping … ever. A sparkling clean, spacious, air conditioned bathhouse was a very welcome surprise after two weeks on the road … and much appreciated. Hookups were newer and well located. The site was nice, dry, and level. Easy setup. Staff and grounds crew were very pleasant, friendly, and informative. One of the nicest campsites we have had the pleasure to stay at. We hope to try some of their other sites during our travels.

A near perfect experience! Labor Day weekend getaway with 5 families. Wasn't expecting all they had to offer! Immaculate, affordable, and comfortable cabins. Pool party with events on Saturday, live music at night. Kind and attentive staff. Affordable food options on site. Manicured grounds. We were already planning our next trip before we even left. Cannot wait to return!

Camping here for a week off season. Sites are clean and close to level. I needed one 2x6 under one side to lift up for level. The office staff was very friendly and welcoming. The parks grounds are clean and very new. It's a little too open, not a lot of trees or privacy in some areas. The location is good but a little noisy with the main road right there, maybe there would be less road noise with leaves in the trees. The only down for me was that the seasonals that live there year round, some had very loud diesel trucks and left for work early in the AM. We had the end site so they drove by us most weekday mornings. My son said he wished they had a ballfield for wiffle ball or kickball.

Wanted to add to this now that our stay is over. Friday night bingo and food was excellent. Great price and included bingo and dinner. Same for Saturdays dinner. Great price and food was all homemade we were told. The new Year's Eve party was fantastic, dinner and games all for one price. They also had a separate pizza party and games for kids run by the staff. My son said he had fun and had plenty of food.

Overall a fun week away from home. I would definitely consider going back another time.

Our stay there was amazing. The RV sites were flat and level. The facilities were clean and very much first-class. The number of things to do for kids and adults alike was impressive. Pair all of that with a great location, and you have a great place to spend some time. We will be back!

We recently camped at Madison Vines Resort. This was one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in. They had so much to offer - activities that included meals, music, and entertainment. The grounds were very clean and the bathrooms were the nicest we have ever seen in a campground by far! The manager, Jamie, and her staff worked so hard making sure every camper has their needs addressed and goes out of their way to make sure you are a satisfied customer. We will definitely go back!!
