About Campground

With a love for camping, we took our passion a step further and turned it into a reality when we opened Sandy Oak RV Park.

We are a husband/wife team in the process of build our campground and make it an amazing place to stay/visit.

Sit back and enjoy a campfire while gazing at the beautiful night sky filled with stars.

All sites are available with full hook up.

Bath/shower house & laundry house are open.

More amenities coming soon.

While the campground is still a work in progress, we would like to say 'Thank you' for giving us the opportunity to have a warm and friendly place for you to call 'Your home away from home'.

We loved our stay at Sandy Oak! Driving cross country with our travel trailer, our baby and dog we took a wrong turn in Atlanta and ended up having to find a place for the night off the 20 last minute. Our hosts Mary and Larry were so helpful and sweet, they made it easy to pull in off the highway and even met us at the gate to take us to our spot.

The hard packed sand and oak trees made for easy and scenic camping, there was enough room between the spaces and the restroom and shower were spotless. The campground is close to the exit, but far enough that we couldn't hear the interstate at all, it was quiet and peaceful all night.

We burned some of the local oak wood they had available and it kept us nice and warm and cheerful for hours and the trees between the spots made it seem more private and secluded. The prices for everything were very affordable- less than half what the next campground up the road in Florence wanted to charge, and the hospitality was very warm and welcoming.

They're putting in a pond and there's a playground for little ones, so we think this place will only get better! We'd definitely stay here again and can't wait to see all the new changes. Highly recommend this place if you can get a spot, we felt lucky to get one of the last spaces especially rolling in after hours when most other places had closed. Thanks again for a great stay Sandy Oak! Hope to see you again someday!!

Great little stop over on the way south. Very friendly family owned. Pulled in after dark. They escorted is to our site. $37 for the night woth electric and water pull through. Nice and level, we didn't even unhook for the night. We will be saving this in our list o places to stop at! They say they are still working on it there is a cute pond area. And there were a few horses.

Campground is absolutely phenomenal. Management works hard to keep campground clean and attractive. Has a very nice lake to swim in during the summer. Very peaceful and quiet. Laundry facilities on site. Bathhouse and shower for those who might need it. Would give them 10 stars if I could. If your looking for a safe place for your RV or camper I highly recommend Sandy oaks. If your looking for a place with alot of drama this is not it. My family has stayed with them off and on for the past few years and have yet to have any problem. Big thanks to the owners Larry and Mary for doing such a great job making this park at home feeling

What a fabulous find! Super family owned/operated/maintained/beautified RV camp. Wonderful trees all around the site, plenty of space between sites, plenty of open space, a lake and a beach for hanging out, and a friendly camp cat. We had booked for a week but canceled our other booking in SC to stay here another week. I think it is my favourite camp site ever! Leaving tomorrow and already miss it!

We came from Pennsylvania and stayed here for 6 months. We were met at the gate & escorted to our site. All hookups were easily accessible. Staff was friendly and very helpful with directions to local stores and attractions that we were interested in. Laundry & bathroom/shower were available if we needed. Mobile RV repair person available if needed. Campground was clean, the pond is beautiful, and the playground for children looked well maintained. Out of all of the campgrounds that we have stayed at, I felt the safest here and will definitely miss being here. Hopefully we will have the chance to return one day. Big Larry & Bella, Larry Jr & Mary, neighbor Terry we will miss you all !! Thank you for making our stay memorable! We camped at Sandy Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
