Stayed for a week and it was so relaxing, comfy, and peaceful! The 2 bathrooms are big and CLEAN which we loved. So much land to walk our dog (even saw a baby deer close up) and she loves the pond and the dog park on site. The office was clean with the laundry room and the cool local things to buy. It was so helpful to have ice bags and firewood we could charge to our account. Super friendly and clean and will definitely be back!

Alisha and Savannah are the reason I give them a 5 star rating. They go above the normal to make sure you have a wonderful stay. Beautiful campgrounds.

Lake Thurmond

I want to start off by saying it is quite and peaceful out there. You get to see deer and many birds. The grounds are kept up nicely with a small fishing pond on property. Worth all that being said, the spots are very small unless you are able to get spot 26 or 27. While we were staying at Lake Thurmond, hurricane Idaila hit Florida, Georgia and other areas. 3 other campers besides ours was there for work and got called to Florida to restore power. Before they left the job got moved to North Carolina. They got called out before we could move our campers. Before my husband left he went to pay our remaining bill and they told him we were good till the 13th. That was over 2 weeks away. When we left I got a bill saying we owed $616.00 for power and rent till the 13th. ( would have been more but they took the $100.00 deposit off we paid) that was for 18 days. So I went over and talked to them and come to find out we were just reserved to the 13th. So we discussed that we would be leaving before the 13th since he would be released and the bill would be cheaper. SoI thought we were at an understanding i would post the bill when we found out exactly what day we were leaving. Boy was I wrong. 2 days later they were texting my husband (who was in Florida and they knew it) about the past due amount.

So for the other 3 campers, I don’t really know the arrangements they had, but I do know that the employees knew they were in Florida on storm and threatening to have the campers towed if money wasn’t paid right then.

Now we were there a couple of months and our first power bill was over $300.00. ( and we were gone a week. Our main breaker tripped every other day. The podium was so hot that you couldn’t touch it. During that month our electric side of the hot water heater broke. Not sure if the 2 are connected. But when they changed our breaker the next month our power bill was cheaper running 3 a/c’s. They said nothing about it when I brought it up.

A few things they do not mention when booking is power is over priced. They charge $50 extra per person a month over 2 people

Love this campground! A few miles from the lake and easy to get to by golf cart! There is a playground, corn hole and basketball area. The beautiful open lawn area in the front really sets it off! The only thing it is missing is a pool but the lake is right around the corner and public access with a boat ramp if needed! There also is a lakeside restaurant down by the lake!

Will add pics because we of course are going back!
