Such a cute family place! There's many different trails (some need to be cleared out a little bit). The hike up the mountain was pretty easy a little steep but there's a good trail and stairs up to the top. There are many picnic tables around to have lunch around the area. The pond is nice. There are also porta potty bathrooms around that are open.

A beautiful, serene natural area rich in wildlife and many different species of mushrooms. If mycology is your thing, explore the acreage of Sugarloaf Mountain.

Have been visiting the sand hills for over 40 years but have not been in about 15 years. I did not really recognize anything this trip. The signage was not clear and the block and wire fencing around the top of the mountain really diminish the beautiful landscape. Felt like a completely different place than the one I have been visiting my entire life. However I still enjoyed our visit as always.

This is a truly beautiful location with nothing but nature all around. There are seemingly endless fire roads and trails available to explore and go off-roading on. Once you get to the mountain, there is a little parking area with an outhouse nearby if needed. There's also a beautiful pond nearby with places to have a picnic or go bird watching. Nothing but nature here, so if that's what you like, go check it out. The "hike" up the mountain is a breeze as well, and the view is worth the trip.
