From I-20 East or West take I-77 South to Exit 9 to Rt. 262, Leesburg Rd. From I-26 East (Exit 115) and West (Exit 116) take I-27 North to Exit 9. It is 9.1 miles to Weston Lake Recreation Area sign. From Sumter on 378 exit at US-601 North to Leesburg Road on the left approx. 6 miles. It is 7.1 miles to the recreation sign on the right. Located outside the base gates.
In Cabin 6 the windows in the cabin don’t lock at all. The front doors in cabin 5/6 aren’t sturdy. The cabin was barely clean, and the floors weren’t swept. There’s minimal outdoor lighting. No WiFi. We didn’t enjoy our stay! It's pitch black at night. Not safe.... or secure place to sleep... Campers parked right next door to Vets.
There's a great place for family so last time I took my family somewhere was Weston lake. Great memories wish they were here miss them mucho
Cabin is so cute , beautiful view, very clean ,looking forward to the next few days here . It is down about 3 miles from base on back side exit . Campground looks real nice and concrete slabs looks like they have lots of room ,not on top of one another.
