Going south on I-26 take exit 209 for Ashley Phosphate Rd. At the end of the ramp turn right onto Ashley Phosphate Rd. Go about 1/2 mile and make a left turn onto Stall Rd. Go to the end of Stall Rd and turn right on Midland Park Rd. ---- ALTERNATE ROUTE: Going south on I-26 to the Aviation exit (exit 211) and turn right. ---- BOTH: Go over the tracks and turn right onto Perimeter Rd. Stay on Perimeter until you get to the X-ray machine in the right. Stop for the red light and wait until directed to proceed. Go to the second street on the right for the FamCamp.
Stayed there for a week. Great staff and great price. We stayed on a large concrete pad near the bath house. Lots of space between pads. The only downside was the air traffic starting at 6am every morning. However, what do you expect when you chose to say on an Air Force Base next to the airstrip. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it (active duty Army LTC).
Went and picked up some tables and chairs. Staff are very friendly and easy to work with. They have a lot of different events going on, you just have to wait for the one you like. Everything is reasonably priced. The only drawback I would say is that you can't reserve anything. You have to order and pick it up same day as first come, first serve. Maybe they dont have enough items?
The staff is nice but the manager ruins the whole place. The concept of not being able to take payment by any method except for in person in the year 2021 absolutely blows my mind and completely ruins it for anyone whose stationed somewhere else looking to use their equipment. All in all if the manager didn't look for literally every excuse to say no, no matter how much he contradicts himself I'd give it 5 stars.
Overall I like the campground and it's layout. My only beef is the Upkeep of facilities by the hosts. The bathrooms should never be inneed of Tp or anything which although the Host couple were lovely I feel
