From I-77: Take exit 41, follow secondary 41 N. to stop sign at Hwy 21. Turn left and go approximately 2-3 mi. to the first paved road on the rt. Turn rt. on Rd. 101 (River Rd.) The park is 5.5 mi. on the left.
Waterfront campsites, very nice bath houses. Nice boat ramp included a boat gas station. We will revisit this location.
One of my favorite state parks. We stay in the original campground loop. It’s doesn’t have septic but my family enjoys being under the trees. Especially during the summer months.
Our camping pad is over 100 foot long and built up so there is no standing water when it rains. Plenty of space to enjoy and relax. Picnic table area is on rocks.
Our camp host and staff did a very good job and keeping the areas very clean.
Very relaxing vacation!!
Only stayed one night on our way south. Didn't get to see much of the park but rangers were nice . Stayed in site 5 by the water- good site!
On our first visit to this state park today, we have fallen in love with it. So many positives to include spacious camp sites, clean restrooms, stocked shop with plenty of emergency supplies, easy and well maintained hiking trails (which is what we did), easy load boat ramp, and more. Whether you are there for a day visit to picnic or a multiple day get away, this is the place to go!!!!!
