For overnight accommodations, furnished cabins sit nestled in the woods for rent, as well as campsites which can be found along the Edisto Island oceanfront or in the shaded maritime forest. Wifi is also available in select areas, as well as bathrooms, showers, and electrical hookups in most campsites. In fact, 120 sites can accommodate RVs or tents, with 115 sites offering 50 amp electrical service.
Most campsite reservations require at least a 2-night stay. Some locations and dates may require longer stays. Edisto Beach also offers Cabin and Day-Use Facility reservations. Review camping reservation policies.
I've been to the campground and beach. Great location. I booked a second trip. I had to cancel 7 days before arrival and was charged $55 administrative fee. Problem is 7 days later still no refund. I spoke to an employee and was told it can take 6 days and as many as 10. I complained that for $55 it should not take this long. Employee said he just works there. I had to tell him as an employee he needs to tell his employer customers are calling Bill and maybe they will improve their policies. After all, shouldn't this be about the customer?
My family and friends take an annual trip out to Edisto to stay in the cabins, socialize over bonfires, cook meals, and take bike rides and hikes. The cabins are various sizes to accommodate anywhere between couples and big families. Great area to get away for a while. A big pond is nearby and plenty of pluff mud for the kids to get dirty.
Very nice camping area of South Carolina State Parks. Me and my wife visited this park last week. The camp sites had water and electricity. Very good showers and bathrooms facilities. Our site was next to the beach, with easy access to the beautiful Edisto beach. I suggest you book your stay early for the best spots. Close to Charleston and Beaufort SC. Some nice restaurants close by as well. Overall it was a beautiful, relaxing place to camp and relax. They have 2 camp sites close to each other, we stayed at the ocean front camp sites. Highly recommend going to check this area out for yourself and enjoy our beautiful South Carolina State Parks.
Great park. We stayed at the beach section. Loved riding the bicycle around the loop, also on Palmetto Drive. Great beach; an abundance of shells and ever changing waves made for great beach walking. Clean, neat facilities. Be sure to sit through Ranger Sara's talk on alligators. Very interesting and we got to touch some baby gators.
