Simply put, Palmetto Cove is a very special place. The volunteer hosts make you feel so welcome when you first pull in. The campground is very clean and the WIFI and water pressure are the best we've ever experienced at a campground. The views of Caesar's Head and Table Rock are a welcome way to start and end each day. A refreshing dip in the river is also a special treat. Palmetto Cove is one of those places that you have to experience firsthand. We go often and consider it our "home" campground now. if you are a history or nostalgia buff, you must see the archives in the Lounge area. Airstream rallies have been held at Palmetto Cove since 1974 and there are many pictures, etc. to review. Free Bluegrass music jam sessions often happen at the Cove. Some talented folks too!

We stayed there for an RV rallye and it was an ideal location for the event since they have rooms for large groups.

The Wifi is phenomenal, I have never experienced anything like it on a campground, but it's also needed because there's little cell phone coverage otherwise.

As a holiday destination I would probably not chose this place, there is not much to the sites other than full hookups, no picnic tables, firepits and most of all, no shade.

Also, if you don't have a fully equipped RV, there aren't any bathrooms, but this is all well noted and didn't bother us.

The hosts were very nice and welcoming the whole time.

I had a disappointing experience at this RV site due to the abrasive and unaccommodating woman host. Every one of the other hosts were extremely friendly. From the moment we arrived, her demeanor was unwelcoming. Went out of her way no not wave! She seemed disinterested in helping us settle in and was quick to dismiss our questions, unlike the other hosts that were there. Additionally, the RV site was nothing special, and the ground was uneven, making it incredibly challenging to level my RV. This, coupled with the unpleasant host, made our stay far from enjoyable. It's a shame because the views are nice and the street is quiet. We won't be returning to this campground, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant RV camping experience.

Another great experience at this awesome campground. The Hosts are like no where else, these guys are great!!! Enjoyed our daily talks, etc.. great people!

The campground is in an amazing area, so many things to do and see.. hiking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, etc..

This was our 2nd yearly fall visit at the campground, we are already planning for next year and staying much longer! We love it here.

See you all soon!

This place is great! The staff are super accommodating and very friendly. Great views of the mountains plus a nice spot by the river! I was looking for a spot to camp near Table Rock, Caesar’s Head, and Jones Gap, and this place is central to all the best hiking spots in SC! Bathrooms are nice and clean, and it’s dog friendly. We will be coming back 👍
