We are the only adventure outfitter that has an outpost on the Waccamaw River that features 1 acre of fun yard games, tree swings, hammocks, large fire pit, clean bathroom, boat dock & ramp, river side picnic tables and access to a 48 acre private island in the middle of the river to explore and camp overnight!
We offer a variety of activities and adventures, including: Escape River Island, kayak and river boat tours to our private island, custom overnight river camping trips, birthday & group events.
This was a top notch experience. My family has always wanted to do the Amazing Race and this place offered a great experience to match that. The challenges on the Escape Island Adventure were really fun! The staff were so nice, helpful and encouraging! Highly recommend!
We had such a great day doing the Escape River Island challenge. We had never been kayaking, but they gave us instruction and we had time to practice, so it was just fine. The whole family, including our 11 and 9 year old kids, enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend!
Had a blast!! Owner and all employees were incredibly friendly and professional. Spent a couple hours on the river until a storm came rolling in. Very impressed by the owners concern for all his customers on the river. He drove up and down the river checking on his customers before the storm hit, giving anyone who wanted a ride back. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good time on the water.
I brought a team of employees to River Island Adventures to compete in Escape River Island. This was an amazing team building exercise. A great time was had by all. River Island is one of the best kept secrets in Myrtle Beach. Jeff and his team are amazing hosts. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Much to do for all. After the challenge we enjoyed grilling out and having lunch together at the outpost area. Great local business!!
The River Island Adventure Tree House was an amazing experience, incredibly unique, and most certainly, memorable. Jeff, the owner, went above and beyond for our family continuously, during our stay. His extreme passion in creating a private island was shown by the importance of the preservation of nature on the island while also providing ample adventurous outdoor activities. He shared fascinating stories about the island as well as educating us on its quite interesting history. All of which, my young children listened to like one of their favorite books.
We loved that he had kayaks for us to paddle around the island with at any time. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pontoon boat tour as it was interesting to also learn about the area surrounding the island. We had a phenomenal time that was truly one-of-a-kind! We look forward to future events and stays at River Island, for who doesn't want stay in a huge tree house on a private island, next to a fire, by the light of the moon?!
