You simply won't find a better camping location in this vacation mecca than the KOA Campground Myrtle Beach. Established more than 40 years ago, it's now in the heart of this coastal city's myriad of attractions - within walking distance of two amusement / water parks, four miniature golf courses, live music theaters, more than 40 restaurants and, of course, dazzling sand beaches. Also nearby is the NASCAR SpeedPark and more than 100 golf courses .
Myrtle Beach KOA offers a lot of fun for the entire family, including your pet. New to our campground is a Big Bouncer, Kamp K9, two great playgrounds, outdoor movie cinema , kampfire theatre and hay wagon rides ! Recreational items are available in-season.
With all that fun and convenience, you will be delightfully surprised by the campground's setting, with shady sites scattered among mature trees. Camping cabins and deluxe cabins also are available.

Wonderful place. It was our first time for one night. I put a note on my wish list and we'll come back soon for vacation. The location is amazing is in town and the beach are at walking distance. Showers and restroom are clean and close by the sites.
We'll be back soon!
The campground itself was lovely. Lots of mature hardwoods and pines for shade. The sites aren’t placed like sardines. The staff is very helpful and friendly. But… the bathhouses (at least the women’s) were a huge disappointment. Lots of mold in the shower tile grout. Cracked wall tiles. No body wash dispensers. All the other KOAs I’ve stayed in have had updated,, clean bathhouses.
I wish the airport wasn’t so close. 😐
I would not stay here again. Stayed in a "rustic" cabin, and it was rustic to say the least. The prices of KOA's, not just this one, have been going up like crazy, and add the resort fees, along with pet fees, and you are well over what a hotel would cost! The bathrooms could use some updating and repairs. The one we were near didn't have working doors on half the stalls. The check in times were inconvenient for us and they would not allow any adjustments to them even though we were in the off season and 75% of the place was empty, so we sat in the parking lot for an hour after arriving from out of state until 3:50pm. The person working the front desk was friendly when they finally would check us in. Overall I think this was a very poor value for the accommodations and the cabin/facilities could use a major cleaning/repair/updating. State parks that I have stayed at are far nicer at a third of the price.
This KOA is in a great location! You’re a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores as well as gift stores. The park is well maintained with friendly staff. They have everything you need at the front store for convenience. The laundry room is great with lots of machines. Be mindful of the dryers, if you open it up before it’s done to take out items, you have to put more money in again to get it going. If you need coins, there’s a dispenser in the room.
Facilities for toilets and showers are cleaned daily and warm.
There’s lots of big beautiful trees all around the park which your satellite connection will be greatly impacted.
Lovely area. Would stay again!
