DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME..... This place should be removed from the list of military campgrounds until it has been cleaned up. This place is DEPLORABLE!!!!. The best way to described this place is as a dilapidated Trailer Park, near squalor conditions. It's embarrassing that this is what my military offers as reasonable accommodations. This place leaves A LOT to be desired. The grounds are not kept, tall grass, weeds and dead trees have pretty much taken over. Stray animals or unleashed pets roam the property and there are NO SERVICES AVAILABLE HERE (No Washing facilities, toilets, bath/shower house. NO Cable or WiFi and cell service is often interrupted). The people here have loads of debris and deteriorating furniture and even old vehicles in the spaces that they occupy. The rates here are $25-30 a day with monthly rates at around $600. The host is very friendly over the phone but never showed up to meet with me and I'm glad he/she didn't.
We have stayed at Foster Creek campground several times. The campground does require some work and updating but I fault the merging of Charleston Air Base with the Naval Weapons Station. The base has been neglected for some time since Joint Base Charleston took over. The sites are big with full hook-up ,50amp service, paved and level. Some do flood when it rains. The ladies in the office and "Doc" are always friendly and ready to help. We appreciate you and will continue to camp at Foster Creek Campground.
Nice people, quiet and friendly. Its kept clean but could use some updating as the would for the bridge is rotting and can not use the stairs to get down by the water so have ti take the trails instead. No mailing service option in site or deliveries for packages if you are planning to be here for a shirt while. Bathrooms and laundry is not available due to the pandemic. Grocery stores nearby which is a plus. Cant really complain for the price. Wouldn't mind coming back but wouldn't mind exploring other options to compare.
This RV Park is not up to par. No showers,no room for gatherings, 2 people that run this place NEVER came out to meet people. Will never come here again.
Great little quaint place, has full hook-ups and concrete pads which are always a plus! The only neg I have for it is that there are no pull thru spaces, they're all back-in spots, which isn't a huge deal, but for someone who's not use to backing, can be a stressor. Def will come back though!
