Current full time camper at Jolly Acres and I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owners and Don are super accommodating & helpful. They also keep a watchful eye on everyone and as a single female I am most appreciate of that! They TRULY care about the people who live here, and the atmosphere is very family like. Highly recommend Jolly Acres if you are looking for a place to stay. You will not regret it.
My hubby and I have stayed in this campground a couple of times. The first time was just overnight. This time it was 4 days. I LOVE this campground. It is out of the way of the hussle bustle but close enough to visit Charleston and other surrounding cities. The owners are wonderful, down to earth people. They keep this campground exceptionally clean. The campsites are very accessible and easy to park your rig. They are all pull through sites! The comments about their political signs are just another way for people to complain. I barely even noticed the few signs displayed. We do live in the good Ole USA therefore giving us the right to express our political preferences. If that offends you then you probably shouldn't stay here. It leaves room for the more appreciative campers looking for a nice, affordable place to stay. I will definitely return here again and again and would give 10 stars 🌟
Great spot on our way to stop an rest. Great folks, helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the camp ground.
THEY CARE ABOUT POLITICS, NOT CUSTOMERS!
We had reservations for two nights on July 9th and 10th. We left to find a different location as soon as we got there. The only positive thing I can say is Darlene was very pleasant and understanding. I do not believe she is an owner. She followed up with us after we left and asked specifically if it was all the signs that made us leave. That leads me to think this is not the first time people have taken issue with this. The park is covered in political signs, banners, and pictures. It included signs basically saying if you back the other guy, keep on going. The overwhelming political opinions create a very unwelcoming and isolating atmosphere for customers. It's not the kind of business I can support.
