Got to partake in Prescribed burning here as an out of state government resource. It was such a great learning opportunity. What a beautiful place.
Great place to relax. We took our dogs out there to run and they had a blast too.
This is an amazing wildlife refuge! Just over an hour southeast of Charlotte, the refuge covers 45,000 acres of longleaf pine forest, pine savanna, and wetland habitat. Great place to spend a day away from the city and even better if you love birding or fishing. Can’t wait to visit again!
