Ross Hill is a campground right on the Quinabaug River prices for camp sites are reasonable and staff is always helpful and friendly.
Is a campground, close to many attractions. Love to go there, reasonable rates. Great people, family campground, secluded. Peaceful, beautiful view of the CT river
Nice Campground, My family and I have been going here for years. We were very disappointed this year because we booked sites for July 21st-23rd And they were having a steak and lobster dinner on Saturday. Some of my family that doesn't camp came for the day on Saturday to visit with us and have the dinner. When we arrived on Friday we found out that the dinner had been canceled. They said there wasn't enough participation so they decided not to do it. We had already paid for the dinners in advance and they said they would refund us. We were never told ahead of time, emailed or contacted. We found out the day we arrived. We were counting on that meal and wound up using all of the food we had to make it through the weekend and feed our family that was visiting. We have all noticed that there have been a lot of empty campsites, seasonal and weekenders. Also the upkeep of the campground seems to be slipping. We love this campground and hope that whatever is going on can be resolved and bring this wonderful place back to the quality it once was.
Really nice campground! It is clean, everyone is friendly and they have a well-stocked little store. We had a great breakfast they make on weekends at an incredible price and music on Saturdays in the pavilion. We had a terrific and relaxing weekend.
We used to have a blast at Ross Hill. Soon you find out they cater to the weekenders not the seasonal campers. Management is nonexistent and and the grounds are not kept up with. This could be a beautiful place if maintained properly and upgrades were made. It is dad that the owners only care about having the money in their pocket. Over the last several years many of us seasonal campers have moved on to better campgrounds.
