Beautiful campground on the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place to hike fish and be in the outdoors. Nothing super fancy but absolutely beautiful area of the state.
Nice RV park with large level sites and some riverfront. Nicely outfitted rec hall with pool-tables, ping-pong, and kids games. Spotless restrooms and metered showers.
I'm an Allied health contractor, and I live in my RV full-time. I had the opportunity to stay here for 1 year, and I loved it! Henry, Chris, Heather, Hillary- all great people and so helpful and welcoming. I've stayed at several campgrounds and this by far has been my favorite. It definitely felt like 'home' during my stay, and I was very sad to leave. Thank you guys, I hope to come back again sometime in the near future!
My family had camped here when my son was 8 and we enjoyed staying here. Its was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed when they would have the horseshoe tournaments every year. I would love to go back again to visit.
If you’re looking for winter camping, Nickerson’s got it. We’ve stayed two years in a row now in November and December and loved it. The camp hosts are wonderful, and it is so beautiful and peaceful this time of year. There are even some people still around to talk to. We love to take our dogs for a walk through the grounds. It is not far from some excellent restaurants also. The Black Dog restaurant has fantastic Barbecue and is a really cool place. And there are some wonderful breakfast places too! We highly recommend this campground!
