Oh I just loved this place. It is so wonderful if you just want to get away for a weekend this is the place for you. The cabins are pretty secluded not many neighbors. And each one has a fire ring for fires, pic nic tables, chairs on front porch looking out into wilderness. It's so peaceful and quiet and it is absolutely stunning. They do have cabins that are closer to playgrounds, you can rent golf cart and ride on their 600 acres of land. They also have firewood that you can purchase at office. And it's not to far from restaurants to eat, I would say maybe 20 to 30 min commute. But we'll worth it. They do have their own kitchen in them as well. If you just need to get away and you love the wilderness this is the place to go. I highly reccomend this place. Oh and they do allow dogs as well.
We stayed at River Ridge Labor Day weekend. The sites are very nice and well spaced. Our site, A7 in Fawn Ridge was gravel pull through. With an Asphalt pad with picnic table. There was sodded grass areas between each site. We would stay here again. They are a Good Sam park, but you need to call to make the reservation in order to get the discount. The one thing this park needs is a pool. There is plenty of room for some added activities and I hope to see this park grow.
We have stayed here several times and are going back next week. We love the place. It is a work in progress. But the sites are nice and plenty of room and level. Once they get amenities situated it really will be great. But for us, we love it.
This is a great place to camp and I did say camp it’s not a hotel resort but if you’re looking for a beautiful campground that’s well maintained this is it. We are staying in site 10 and are very pleased with how quiet it is and how beautiful the lake is. The owners are great and work hard to make sure you have a great stay. You have 650 acres to walk on trails, swings and hammocks near the campground. We will be back as soon as we can.
