Thunder Canyon isn’t just a beautiful retreat for family camping. In the future it will be the first training center for new RVers. Our hope is to help aspiring new RVers avoid the pitfalls and mistakes that John & Mercedes made when they began the RV Lifestyle.

What a gorgeous, beautiful campground! The premium sites are huge with plenty of room for large rigs. The fellowship with other campers is very unique, have made lifelong friends here. Got to spend some time with John and Mercedes and appreciate all they're doing here!! Plan your trip to spend a week or so here, you won't regret the experience! God Bless Camp Gratitude!
Yobabybubba, what a wonderful experience. We finally got to visit 'Camp Gratitude' aka Thunder Canyon. We live in New York and built a 36 day RV trip around visiting this beautiful place with beautiful people. It was great to finally meet Mercedes, John, Sage and Mark and everyone else at Camp Gratitude. Including the guests. Not only is it a beautiful place as you can see in the photos but 3 times a week there is fellowship in the morning were you will you get to meet everybody. It's nice to be at a campground with like-minded people and there was even some praying together. By the way, the RV Odd Couple are exactly the same in person as on YouTube. God Family Country. We look forward to visiting again.

Thunder Canyon is the most gorgeous campground we have ever been to, and we have been all over the country. Peace and quiet, in a beautiful country setting. Loads of walking trails lead to beautiful creeks. Sites are large and equipped with a large picnic table and firepit. Also lots of green areas to walk the pups. Wifi is awesome. John and Mercedes are gracious hosts and have turned Thunder Canyon/ Camp Gratitude into such an wonderful enjoyable place to stay. We have been here for 9 days and cannot wait to get back here soon! It was definitely not long enough! Till next time xxoo Dave & Shar (site 1)
Had a nice Thanksgiving week here - unfortunately we have to leave tomorrow…. Such a quiet beautiful place. Fun hiking trails, lots of caves, disc golf, great people. Thanks John & Mercedes & Sage!! 😊 Hope to maybe visit again in July.
The campground is meticulously maintained and the owners are awesome! I think we got the best space! We met everyone camping there with us and had a wonderful pot luck and coffee together in the morning! We made wonderful new friends. We all felt like we’ve known each other for years! It’s great camping with like minded people. We loved helping around camp doing projects that need to be done to maintain the property. When we drove in and parked we felt like we were home. So comfy and beautiful! All the trees and buildings were well maintained. The trails were fantastic. The creeks that run through the property are stunning. John took us on a tour of the property which really helped us understand the size of the property to enjoy. I can’t wait to go back and hope y’all can experience this campground someday. Highly recommend!
