Warning! RVs and travel trailers are NOT welcome here! Online says 25ft is permitted. They are not. Ranger (Sue) was extremely rude and mean hearted. There was four other vehicles OVER 25ft but we were not given compassion or sympathy after paying and reserving our campsite. They changed the “rule” 5 days before we arrived and have no flexibility to that even though people are traveling hundreds of miles to enjoy the beauty of Glacier NP and they still haven’t changed their online description. We spoke with other rangers whom said it was ok as long as you fit on the concrete pad…. We had several feet on either side of our truck and trailer.
We left there very sad, not just because we looked forward to it for months, but because the ranger (Sue) was unprofessional and hateful. By the way, Sue had a mega bus (30-35ft not including their truck) and was parked in the grass…. Makes a lot of sense!
Wonderful gem tucked away deep in the woods right along the beautiful Tippecanoe river...owners are great...clean place....float trips...family fun
Nice float down the Tippecanoe river. Rising Sun campground shuttled my equipment and was very nice about it. It's close and on a nice sized river. I've been dealing with these guys for a long time and NEVER ONCE had a bad experience.
First experience there we got screamed at and kicked out of the park before we even started our trip. Supposedly the owner saw us “speed” through a field while there were children around. We were going the posted 5 mph speed limit, pulling up to our mother’s camper. Where there were plenty of other vehicles, so clearly people are allowed to park there. There wasn’t a child within at LEAST 100 feet as all of the children were either in the pool, or at the playground which was hundreds of feet away. He didn’t even give either of us a chance to speak or get our side in, just immediately told us to leave. Definitely lost the 20+ members of our family that planned on making this a yearly stop.
We went this weekend. 4 adult 4 kids. Ages 4-8. We all had a great time. We tent camped. Very family friendly. There's a pool and little store with food, ice, and coffee. We did the river float with the 8 of us. Was lovely. So many shells!! Only complaint is the bathrooms. I think the toilet had a broken seal and was leaking. I wish they kept a floor squeegee in there to move them sand and mud to the drain. Will definitely be back
