Booked during Covered Bridge Festival. Easy in/out. Camper sites are a bit on the small side. If the State Park is booked up this is a decent alternative.
It was a nice campground overall. A little too close together campsites, but the staff was very nice. We were moved when we encountered some not so courteous neighbors, which we appreciated
We go to Turkey Run State Park every year for 20 years. We use Turkey Run Canoe for our water activities. Company is very organized. The price is great, very affordable. Very good location, gas station and restaurant near by. They added toilet facility, was really needed! Could be better service by the river, help a bit more to put Canoe into the water and take it out. But overall we allways have blessed 🙌!
There is no playground for littles
I also am concerned about the security and safety of visitors they have you fill out a paper with personal info and post it on your car window for everyone to see it’s just not the best way . Overall the campsite was fine comparable to ones nearby ! There is nothing close to get anything you forgot so be mindful of that but it was a good place to stay the showers were clean and friendly staff
Camped here due to its close proximity to the covered bridge festival. Features very cheap camping plots which are also very small (not an issue for the price). Quiet hours are not enforced, we listened to screaming children until 2am as there is a moderately sized playground on site. Said playground becomes busy again at about 7am so not a ton of sleep to be had.
