Update 1/18/2019:

The rains have helped a GREAT deal with both the water quality and insect problem!

And the lake is now approximately 10' from cresting.

I am now changing my review to a 4 star!

If they would do something about the flies and other insects, and improved the water quality of the lake, (it's like a cesspool of dairy and agriculture runoff right now), I'd give it a 4 star. Otherwise it has its serenity!

It's a great place I stay a week there very peaceful....the water is low right now but the catfishing is always good no license required 5 fish a pole the rates are reasonable its in the dairy land so it smells of silage and the flys are abundant during the hot weather but the fall is quite nice....

I love this place! Staff is great. Lots of convenient amenities. The office manager Angela is very friendly and professional. We love it so much we made another reservation to come back! They have staff cleaning and working around the grounds all day.

I do love this place but if you came now at this time you would be very disappointed right now with the very low water level of the lake also water is to shallow and warm this year to stock trout this year. We'll water level is way up after the storm flooded for weeks straight, but getting back to normal. They still need to stock the lake for better fishing. But if you like wild life watching the migrating birds is beautiful. As of about 5 days ago on the 18th they stocked lake with few hundred lbs. Of cat fish. Good luck they stocked twice now. Don't miss out. I been doing well
