From jct Hwy-78 & Hwy-79: Go 4 mi S on Hwy-79.
Great campsite. Staff is extremely friendly and the grounds are extremely well kept. I'd highly suggest Pinezanita
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in our camper and it was a great place to get away right down the road from the famous pies of Julian. The water didnt work at the time we went (bath house or dispersed restrooms) so we had to be self contained. Lots of wildlife to see, shade, nice people, and plenty of mosquitos around though so dont forget insect repellant! Absolutely would stay here again
This is a beautiful place to camp, it's huge and has tons of walking. Super close to Julian and mountain trails. The road is extremely loud at night till about 11 and then starts back up at 4am. This campground isn't getting a 5 star because I called about a noise disturbance, no one to call except "Tom". He spoke to me in an extremely rude way, told me "this phone number is for emergencies only", incredibly short with me and didn't seem to care one bit about his residents. If you don't have to deal with him, your stay should be lovely.
