Cannot say enough great things about this place! First off the people are phenomenal! Everyone, and I mean everyone at the ranch goes out of the way to make sure you are comfortable and having a great time. The properties, horses, fishing, repeat guests, kids club, and everything is great! Cannot rate this place highly enough. (My only concern is: the food is so good here I'm going to have to go back on my strict diet after I leave).

My RTR vacation ranks as one of my favorite vacation spots of all time. I had two goals in mind when I planned this vacation. Firstly ... learn to ride a horse, and secondly ... learn to fly fish. My goals were exceedingly met. The horseback riding and instruction was sebsational, as was the fly fishing. There was trail riding in the mountains, a team "roundup" competition, barrel racing for the beginner, and a slalom run on horseback. I loved it. I feel confident atop a horse ... yippee-ti-a! And then the fly fishing. It was amazing. The guides were so helpful and accommodating. Untangling my line; tying flies; getting me out of the bushes. And of course - showing me proper casting techniques. They were great.

The food was superb, and plentiful. My two bedroom cabin had everything I needed, and although it was a log cabin, the bathroom was quite modern and well appointed ... having everything I needed.

The owners and staff were so professional and accommodating. Doug, Linda, David, and Jane ... the owners ... were always available and being helpful. As was the entire staff.

Thank you RTR for a week I will never forget.

Our family just finished our third visit to Rainbow Trout Ranch for a week of horseback riding and fly fishing. It is truly an amazing place. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. At one point, I had managed to tangle some fishing line and was working to get it undone. A member of the staff happened to be driving by, stopped, and took the time to help me without any need to do so. That sort of service is the type provided every day. It really is an unforgettable place to relax and let the world go by for awhile. I look forward to returning again soon.

My family just spent a week at the ranch and loved EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. The whole week is full of beautiful scenery, great food, and great conversations. The horse program is amazing too! The owners (Doug, Linda, David and Jane) are super. Truly felt like a guest in their home as they take great pride in getting to know each guest personally. My family will definitely be back next summer. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. My kids (6,11,13) LOVED this vacation.

My family just finished our first trip (of hopefully many more to come) at Rainbow Trout Ranch! This trip was simply amazing. Activities like fly fishing, horseback riding, archary, hiking, and white water rafting were all set within the breathtaking views of the Rocky Moutains of Colorado. To top it all off I’ve never meet such kind, interesting, and accommodating people in the staff and family who run the ranch. We were very new to horseback riding and they made us feel both safe and challenged during rides making an incredible experience we will never forget. My kids are still singing songs and tell stories about their hayride and bonfire adventures with new friends.
