Very close to Cub Lake. Has great access to other lakes and trails and is a solo party camping site which is great for those who enjoy seclusion while camping. The hike to the camp site from Cub Lake trail head is about 2.5 miles
Great view from the campsite. Worth a nights stay from the Cub Creek trailhead.
While we didn't camp there, we walked past it on the way to the Cub Lake and stopped in for a quick peak. It's in a beautiful forest and on a VERY popular and busy trail, but it's offset a bit into the woods from the trail so should have at least a little bit of privacy (I would imagine the noise of the hikers would still be a bit too much for me though). There are also hitching posts for horses. And the main attractions are probably that the Cub Lake is a short walk away (and is beautiful!) and that the hike in is really easy - it's mostly flat with the not-crazily-uphill part only at the tail end of the hike
Great campsite with great views. The surrounding area was effected by a recent fire and the trail was closed to day hikers but it was still a beautiful area.
Amazing views and only a couple miles from a trailhead. Lower elevation so easy on the lungs and snow melt out is early in the season. Minus 2 stars for a swarm of mosquitoes and a very uneven, angled tent platform.
