A permit is required for camping and fishing at Julesburg Resevoir.
The roads are extremely washboard, and in general suck. Vault toilets, not fancy but the wind keeps the smell down.
The crappie fishing is good around the towers at the outlet, using soft plastics. I found that adding a crappie nibble or piece of shrimp ups the bite. When the bite is hot, you'll get a hit almost every cast in some areas around the towers. The fish are usually under keeper size, which is a minimum 10" for crappie.
Nice place lots of fisherman it was pretty there but was very windy the 2 nights we tent camped
What a beautiful, fun and peaceful place. Here you can play, rockhound, get incredible pictures, cool off in the lake, have a picnic and explore the wildlife. I'm so grateful to have found this lake.
Water very low. Bank fishing, didn't catch anything. It was hot and windy that day. Saw lots of Blue Herons.
Not far outside of Sedgwick is this little slice of something special. There's plenty of wildlife and relaxation here, enjoy it!
