Very fun area. We were on motorcycles. We rode the west side 1st, then the east side. We very much preferred the west side. Both sides were fun, but we loved the east side. HIGHLY recommended.

Bathroom was clean. Trails are marked for the most part. Some are missing signs. Had Avenza loaded on phone so we could figure it out. There is too much evidence that some people are not staying on trails.

Great place, I have been coming here ever since I was a kid with my first dirtbike (86’ yz125). Great hills to climb and you can ride for miles and miles. Seems like the trails go on forever.

I had an incredible off-roading adventure at the Railroad Buttes OHV Area! One side of the trail offers a thrilling mix of mud, grassy terrain, and rolling hills that make for a fantastic ride. But what truly sets this place apart is the other side of the road - a challenging clay mud area that becomes incredibly slick and sticky when it rains. It's reminiscent of the Badlands in South Dakota and provides an exhilarating experience. Whether you're a seasoned off-roader or a newbie looking for an adrenaline rush, this place has it all. Five stars for the fantastic terrain and memorable rides!

One thing worth mentioning is we had poor cell service with Verizon.
