Uncle B's is an 11 acre hobby farm located 25 miles west of Sioux Falls and about 10 miles south of I90. 6 dry camp sites and 3 RV sites with 30amp electric and water hook ups. The shower shack has 2 modern bathrooms and a small outdoor kitchen. great vantage point for star gazing, sunrises and sunsets. Voted Hip Camps best camp to visit in South Dakota in 2023 and 2021.
Needed a place to hunker down and Google took me here - glad it did.
There are tent areas in the back of the property, some spots allow you to hide in the patch of trees blocking the sunlight. The shower house was perfect and in great working order.
The host Brian was fantastic and was really good with my wild kids. I'll come back in the future if I'm in the area again. I hope his campsite business continues to do well.
Overall, this was an awesome experience.
We got lucky we found this place on our trip from kc to Mount Rushmore. It was a spontaneous trip so we didn't plan ahead, everything was booked from hotels to every campground in the area. I called as I was 15 minutes away from camp and the host was very kind and nice to us. There was a total of 5 adults and 7 kids and also my kids first time camping. He let our kids feed the animals, he also provided us smores and that was very nice. The bathrooms and showers were always clean and we loved the experience. Highly recommend.. thank you Brian for a great stay..
We stayed here last night as a last minute booking (booked within 2 hours of arrival) on our way out west. We also have an aggressive dog with us, and they were so great about accommodating us. They were kind enough to keep their dogs away from ours, brought us a little smores kit, gave us eggs fresh from his chickens, talked to us about the area and things to do, gave us other little gifts such as some feathers for fly fish ties. There are several camp sites, but not nearly as many as a regular camp site so it's nice and quiet. There's also 2 flushing toilets and hot showers for guests to use. Really just a great experience for a quick night's rest (or longer if you have the time, the state park right down the road is great to hangout at!)
Uncle B’s Farm was perfect for our tent camping adventure. Brian met us upon arrival. His hospitality was superb! Brian was super friendly and gave us lots of suggestions of things to do in the area. He also welcomed us with a s’mores pack, fresh eggs, Uncle B’s Farm sticker and offered for us to take home fresh veggies and tomato plants. Uncle B’s farm was a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Brian also has a retro video game machine and some yard games available for campers to enjoy. Uncle B’s Farm is definitely a great place to stay!
