Awesome place ..... awesome for a family day out.. There is also a small beach.... however due to the corona situation the area was shut off... you can still drive around the park while maintaining social distance from others .... I walked a few places ... people were also out with boats fishing

This would be a good place for a picnic and hanging out on the lake. The nature trail is nice and the longer trail is a good 8-9 mile hike, though parts of the trail felt very far from the park and were more in neighboring farms. There were some very beautiful views of the lake. A good day hike.

A wonderful location for photography! I traveled from North Carolina and stopped in here for some photos. I recommend this place as a nice area to relax for anyone passing through. The photos I've submitted are watermarked with my brand, Rogue Aperture Photography. Iowa is such a beautiful place to be!

A wonderful park with a 9 mile trail around the lake. You can kayàk, swim, have a pocnic or just enjoy the day in the park relaxing. The lake is stocked with many varieties of fish so you can come out and try your luck fishing as well. The trail csm be used for running, walking or horseback riding. A few gentle rolling hills make for a challenging run.
