About Campground

**We now have 2 ADA accessible sites and 5 water spigots.** The Williamson River Campground is conveniently located just off Highway 97 about five minutes north of Chiloquin, Oregon. There are 19 campsites with picnic tables, fire grates, three vault toilets, and two hand pumps round out the amenities at this campground. One campsite is ADA accessible. Ponderosa pines and sagebrush populate the landscape and contrast with the crystal clear Williamson River. Due to its close proximity to the highway, this is a popular campground. You can mountain bike on miles of Forest Service roads, go fishing, or explore day hikes opportunities. Situated next to the popular Collier State Park, there is a 1.3 mile walking trail that connects the two campgrounds. Discover the Collier State Park Logging Museum which showcases historic logging equipment from the late 1800’s, as well as a relocated pioneer village.

First off, cleanest campground I’ve ever been to.

Campsite was raked, bathrooms clean, had a fragrance flowers.. some freshener obviously.. but, I couldn’t help clean any scraps of trash I found while there to carry it forward.

Camp host was charming and extremely helpful. Wish all campgrounds could be like this one

Nice little tucked away campground. Don't expect all the glitz and glam of a larger place, but this place is clean and cheap with the basics such as vaulted toilets and trash cans and water in the summer months.

This place was a great find. Everywhere else I tried was booked Labor Day w/e, so we packed our tent & risked just turning up - no problem; quite a few empty sites, so we were pleased! Cheap, nice & quiet, & the sites have lots of space (one of the best we’ve stayed at). It was just for 1 night, so not having showers was fine & even the vault toilets (that I usually hate) were ok! The little creek was beautiful & peaceful, but VERY cold water! Would definitely camp here again.

I gave it 5 stars for location. And 3 stars for some of the campsites were too slanted and had to ask camp host if we can move. So be watchful of site on what could feel like a slightly slanted hill. They are remodeling it for 2023. So hopefully they fix this. FYI: if you get campsites next to river. Its not a clear view of the river from your site. There is still trees in your way and too far away. So don’t stress if you leave not next to river view. Camp host was extremely nice and helpful. We are very heartbroken they are closed during the time we are coming for our annual trip in Chiloqujn.
