Rough gravel road to get here and a very rough trail leading into the desert but nice and smooth once you get on the flats
Great free access point to the playa. Love the Playa experience...night skies. Sunset ....sunrise. All spectacular
Alvord Desert feels like driving onto another planet. You almost feel disoriented at first because the bleached white dried up mud goes forever. Drive across to the other side and look back at amazing views of Steens Mtn.
Gorgeous place to visit. Easy access into the desert. When we went there was no one else there so it was very peaceful.
