This spot is always amazing. Nice quiet camping, lovely hot soaking sided and warm side as well.
Especially beautiful in early winter and spring when still cold at night.
There are many hot springs in this area. This one is out near Whitehorse Ranch, some locals now this as Whitehorse hot springs. It is two pools, the temperature varies each time I have gone. One pool is cooler and the smaller one is generally hotter. Great views, some interesting rocks nearby. Last few times I have gone, there have been people there. Maybe the people getting out after the cabin fever of the last few years?
Stopped overnight while on a cross country ride. Vault toilet was not great but better than nothing. No signage to find the place. Either have your nav skills down pat or hope a local drives by to ask how to get there. The spring was great to relax in. Very few campers. Some sites have a picnic table, ours didn't.
Nice hot springs and campground. Refreshing even on a hot day. About a 30 mile long dusty road (from the highway) to get there but worth it. There is a vault restroom there but no water available that I recall. The hot springs, campground and restroom were exceptionally clean. There the week after labor day, and it was not crowded at all. 105° on our day though, so come prepared.
