From jct Hwy 42 & W Central: Go 1-1/2 mi E on W Central, then 8 mi N on Fairview McKinley CR, then at stop sign in Fairview continue 5 mi N.
The camp host (Chris) was very friendly and helpful,we(hubby,son,& I ) all enjoyed the experience we had at this park,the park had hot showers, swimming areas,fire rings, picnic tables,and nice sized lots several pull through s and also a dump station for campers to use when leaving or their self contained trailer tank gets filled up,2 week max stay per cycle.
They sell firewood at the campground and also ice!
I went there for an annual picnic. The park is beautiful. There are RV hookups, a playground, wide open spaces, and access to the river which feels good when it is hot. They also have horse shoes. Plenty of parking. There is also a clean bathroom.
Nice location. Newer showers, but restrooms are rank. It appears the staff is in minimalist mode when it comes to maintenance. All they do is run around in their golf carts all day, doing very little work.
We love Leverne. Small, Friendly, Comfortable space. We had several issues with the power turning off. The camp host was not personable in how he handled it. The swimming hole is perfect. The playground is fun. The waterfall is so pretty. I recommend it do sure.
First time camping here and it was so relaxing and nice! Great place to bring the kids to! Very clean bathrooms and showers, and overall a very relaxing place. There was even an ice cream truck that came through for everyone
