About Campground

Overview

Pine Meadows Campground is located on Cottage Grove Lake in Oregon's southern Willamette Valley.

Recreation

Cottage Grove Lake and its shoreline, set in the gently rolling hills of the Willamette Valley, are used for numerous outdoor activities both on land and on water. There are boat ramps at Lakeside Park and Wilson Creek Park nearby, giving visitors easy access to the lake for boating and fishing. Families can use the swim beach or picnic along the shore. The lake is also a designated stop along the Big River Loop of the Willamette Valley Birding Trail, a self-guided driving tour that includes 138 birding hotspots.

Facilities

The campground has nearly 100 sites that each offer fire rings and picnic tables, several of which are on the lake shore. Sites 1-92 are standard sites within the main campground at Pine Meadows. Sites A - O are primitive sites with limited amenities on a loop adjacent to Pine Meadows Campground.

Other amenities include flush toilets, showers, a dump station, children's play area and a swim area.

Natural Features

Located in the low foothills of the Calapooya Mountains, Pine Meadows is surrounded by a diverse mixture of marshland, coniferous forests, and grasslands. The area is managed to provide habitat for a wide variety of wildlife species, including waterfowl, black-tailed deer, upland game birds, songbirds, bald eagles, osprey, and many other species. Visitors can see rare birds like the purple martin, the willow flycatcher, and the yellow-breasted chat in the lake area. Osprey and purple martins nest in nearby structures.

Charges & Cancellations

Reservation changes or cancellations can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

**Cancelling/Changing a Reservation**

A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation. The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Depending on when you cancel in relation to your arrival day, it may be considered a late cancellation (see below).

**Late Cancellations**

**Individual Campsites:** A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.

**Group Facility:** Customers who cancel a group overnight facility reservation less than 14 days before the arrival date will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee.

**No-Shows**

A no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Staff will hold a campsite until 2pm on the day following the scheduled arrival date. No-shows are assessed $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night’s recreation fee for a campsite.

**Early Departures**

If a customer departs prior to the scheduled check-out date, they may be eligible for a partial refund. Please notify staff at the facility if you depart early to allow others to use the site. Customers may notify the call center to request a refund of remaining unused nights. If a customer requests a refund for an early departure after the facility check-out time has passed, the customer will not be refunded for that night and is eligible for a refund on any additional nights that will not be used.

**Refunds**

Customers may submit a refund request through their Recreation.gov profile within 7 days of the end date of their reservation. Customers may also initiate a refund request through the call center at any time after their reservation has ended.

**Debit or Credit Card Purchases:** Refunds for debit or credit card payments will be issued as a credit to the original card used to pay.

**Check or Cash Purchases:** Recreation.gov will mail a Treasury check for refunds of cash, check, or money order payments to the address associated with the reservation. You may update the address at the time you request the refund. It may take up to 6-8 weeks for the Treasury check to arrive. Please make sure your address is up to date in your customer profile.

Beautiful campsite on the odd numbers looking out to lake. Sites are moderately sized, level and road is nicely paved.

Wonderful camp ground! I love the spacious spots. The lake is nice. People complaining about the rules are obviously NOT liking to follow them. There wouldn't be an issue if people could just behave themselves and not spoil the quiet for others with their loud and drunken behavior. I'm glad that isn't an issue here. Camp hosts are awesome. They do a great job making sure people are behaving themselves. If you're an adult that can't handle a few rules, that's a you problem.

Great camp ground. Only issue was the lake was low so the swimming area wasn't open but we went to the other side of the lake and found a great spot for all the kids. The rangers where so nice and helped the kids get their junior ranger badges which they loved! If your camping in spots along the water beware that people will walk through your camp sites even with walking paths to the water. Noise level after 10pm was fine never had anyone super loud.. only complaint is the signs on the bathroom state cleaning is a certain time but they clean them whenever they get to them which means closing the bathrooms in the mornings at peak time ( lots of people waiting for the bathroom)

Your bathrooms are in serious need of a makeover. Ladies room (non handicapped) shower floods. The shower heads suck. You leave the doors open so theres constant bugs and reptiles. The people that clean the restrooms are always late. States cleaning between 530-6. I've been not able to use the restroom at 8am. Mowing people are mowing way too close too people's tents. They've been literally a foot from my head before. Do better
