Someone else was at our campsite that I booked a month prior. They lied to us and pretended that the campsite was double booked. We believed them. The host was nowhere to be found and didn't answer my message until the next day. We had to abandon ship due to our site being occupied - was supposed to be a tipi - so I didn't bring a tent. The trip ended up being a giant waste of time. Host was helpful after the fact but it was too late to do anything. I've never had a worse experience at a campground. I don't recommend Toad Hill to anyone.

Friendly people, it is a quiet peaceful camping area with a beautiful view. There is a river in walking distance of the camping area. If you are looking for peace and quiet, a break from city noise , this is the place for you. It is unique and comfortable with less germs then any hotel or camping place closer to civilization... support a locally owned small camping area, support good people.

We stayed in the Tipi. It was beautifully painted and made. At night you can enjoying looking up through the top at stars and listen to the wonderful sounds nature has to offer. The owner is extremely helpful and very nice! I highly recommend giving this campsite a try! I know we will be back to try one of their other amazing options!
