Basin Campground is named for nearby Basin Pond. Offering a boat launch (non-motorized boats only), fishing and hiking, as well as picnic tables, this is a great place to stay and explore the eastern reaches of the Forest. 13 of the campgrounds 21 sites are reservable.
In Fryeburg, ME, take State Rt. 113 north 19.3 miles to first left just past Cold River campground. Turn left and go 0.1 miles to first left (Basin Rd.) Turn left into campground.
$20 per night, includes 1 vehicle.
$5 additional fee for 2nd vehicle.
