About Campground

Wellington Camping Park was started in the summer of 1962 by Avis and Eliot Wellington on the shores of the wild and scenic Lamprey River. It is a family campground with lots of room to roam. The sites are nestled in the woods along the river, with walking trails and meadows to explore and great fishing along the banks or by canoe. The river is shallow and can be crossed in many spots by simply walking.

Our camping park has over 180 acres with 2,500 feet of frontage on the river. We have a recreation hall for those rainy days. Nearby we have horse shoes, volleyball, badminton and tetherball. Within a half-hour drive you will find the Atlantic Ocean and many New Hampshire beaches. The White Mountains are an hour and a half north and the University of New Hampshire is in the next town over.

The campground is now operated by Pat Wellington and her sons. If you need anything, find a Wellington - we are happy to help.

Wellington Camping Park is such a beautiful place! Gail, the manager is thoughtful, professional, and so much fun to be around. We are work camping here for our first season, and it has been amazing! It is centrally located to many tourist areas, waterfalls, hiking trails, and much more. The park has lots of activities, potlucks and a community atmosphere. Mrs. Wellington has a wealth of local information and her son's are kind, and hard working.

This is a great little campground on the lamprey river in Lee NH it's more of an RV park but they have a few tent sites! The site we had was right on the water and very nice! The staff, management were extremely helpful and friendly, their bundles of wood are a bit pricey for what you get! Overall it was a nice well kept place.

Gale, Rene , and the Wellington’s have been very accommodating and we have enjoyed our first season. It’s a quiet property that’s well kept from the groundskeeping to housekeeping(bathrooms etc). Looking forward to next season!

I have stayed here before as a seasonal camper. I had left for a few years and then I come back I come back this time a lot of changes have happened since I left for the better it's a small campground but it's very quiet and peaceful it's not over packed like most campgrounds are so you feel like you're more at home I want to give a special thank you to Gayle the new camp manager she is very friendly I also want to thank Frank one of the campground maintenance worker's I had an issue on my site he then came down to help me right away he made sure that everything was great and went over and above then you have Alan he is very friendly positive and full of energy he greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome as I mentioned prior Wellington camping park has come a long way they continue to do renovations I will be back most definitely I know the owners from previous stays as a seasonal camper and now as a ⛺ tenter I recommend this campground to to everyone it's a place well worth going to everyone so kind and nice takes care of any issues you have and they make sure you stay is a great one and pleasant as possible thanks for a great stay I stayed here twice this season I'll be back again next year 2024 guaranteed next time you go camping check this place out you will not be disappointed. They have different events throughout the season such as potluck dinners and other things check out Wellington camping park for your summer camping 2024 still open in 2023 to the end of September I assure you that you will not be disappointed it's a small campground without the pool and this and all the attractions it's great for relaxation peaceful nights next to a campfire enjoying the nature. A must stay campground for rest and relaxation away from the daily hustle and bustle. Thanks guys once again Dan Gibbons

My husband and I stayed here for the whole summer, we loved our spot and loved the park. The campground staff are great and always willing to help if you need it. Gail and Rene are so nice and funny! The spots are very spacious, we have a big rig and even had space in the back to access the toy hauler portion with no issues. There was a couple field areas that we were able to take our dog to run and exercise. I would highly recommend staying here long term for the summer.
