This place is a little gem. Right on the pond

Barbara was so friendly when I arrived and was able to accommodate me as I had no reservations. She also cooked me breakfast the next morning and it was delicious.

I would highly recommend checking out if you find yourself in the area.

Note: I came from Millnocket Maine and took the Golden road or north route. This is a challenging drive as the road is in gravel for the most part with lots of potholes and washboard roads. Google maps said it would take over 2 hours to go about 55 miles, and that was the case. The last part of the drive, you have to go through this stretch and big hill. There were potholes everywhere. BY the time I escaped the stretch, basically everything on my van was on the ground. However, the drive is worth it as the scenery is spectacular as it was peak foliage season (Oct 2nd).

Definitely one of the best places my brother n I have stayed snowmobiling, very friendly owners and beautiful lodge that has everything you’ll need! Definitely will be returning in the near future! Big thanks to Barbara and Wayne!

It's located pretty much in the middle of nowhere but that's where we want to be since we're trying to find some moose. Although it rained the whole time, we did get to see about eight different moose.

I was surprised at the bill when I arrived. They offer this coffee. I didn't realize they were charging us $5 for coffee. They don't give you a key so if you go out after dark be sure to watch where you step. Because the lights are off, I wound up falling into the ditch alongside the walkway outside the door. Best way to describe it is a group of year-long campers trailers and the main house with a couple of rooms in it. No TVs. In fact, they've only had electricity for 20 years so it is very remote.

Ideal for a fisherman or hunter.

A friend and I booked a bear hunt with Wayne and Barbara and we had a GREAT time!!! The area is beautiful, the lodge was awesome, and the food was out of this world!!! Barbara, Wayne, and Mark are great people! Many stories we told and we couldn’t stop laughing at a lot of them! We couldn’t have asked for more as we both were able to take nice bears! Thank you to Northern Pride Lodge for a trip that definitely exceeded our expectations!!! We hope to be back in the future! We miss the place and people already! I would give more stars if I could! Can’t go wrong booking with them!

Barbara and Wayne are simply fantastic! You can tell they are passionate about giving you the best experience possible while staying at the lodge. My husband and I were both there for bear hunting and by the end of the week, we both harvested our first Black bear. (With one of the bear dressing at 189 lbs and the other dressing at 281 lbs!) we had such a fantastic time that we decided to extend our stay. The campground was like an adorable community filled with smiles, encouragement and laughter. Strangers would begin talking to one another and before you knew it, we were invited to share a campfire dessert or a day of fishing on their boat.

Not only that, Barbara and Wayne go out of their way to make sure the entire facility is spotless. They have the utmost respect for the conservation of the beautiful area they live in. They also want to make sure that we as hunters were aware of the local laws regarding ethical hunts. We were treated to a visit from the local game warden as well as a question and answer session.

To top it off, the view from the docks were I did yoga was spectacular.

Barbara and Wayne do not treat you like a costumer, they treat you like family that you haven’t seen for years.

Don’t listen to the 1 star haters. There’s always someone that conjures up unwarranted reviews.
