This place is a little gem. Right on the pond
Barbara was so friendly when I arrived and was able to accommodate me as I had no reservations. She also cooked me breakfast the next morning and it was delicious.
I would highly recommend checking out if you find yourself in the area.
Note: I came from Millnocket Maine and took the Golden road or north route. This is a challenging drive as the road is in gravel for the most part with lots of potholes and washboard roads. Google maps said it would take over 2 hours to go about 55 miles, and that was the case. The last part of the drive, you have to go through this stretch and big hill. There were potholes everywhere. BY the time I escaped the stretch, basically everything on my van was on the ground. However, the drive is worth it as the scenery is spectacular as it was peak foliage season (Oct 2nd).
