The best campground I have stayed in. The owners are very personable and all around good people. Any issue I had they were willing to help fix itno questions asked. It is a beautiful area with a nice trail behind the campground. You might see a moose or two. Definitely stay here and say Hi to Michelle and David for me.

What started as a local camping trip to see how our dog would do, quickly turned into us planning next year and making this our new family tradition. What a GEM of a place right under our noses here in Houlton! From check in through check out the staff and owners were welcoming, accommodating and always had a smile! From the mouth of our 11 yr old. "They have EVERYTHING! Best campground ever!"

It was super quiet and peaceful in the evenings and morning...the afternoon was nice to watch the family's swim, use their pedal cars, jump pad and playground. We were at site 57. Loved the central location. The grounds were very well kept, the facilities were the as clean as they could be considering it is a campground (very impressive). We even had some family come visit us and they look forward to camping there next year with us.. Such a special place, made twice as special due to the staff and owners! The only negative...we had to leave. Can't wait for next year!

We had a last minute stay due to moving because of Hurricane Lee. We chose Journey KOA in Houlton Maine due to the proximity to the Canadian border crossing (2 miles). Boy was this a GREAT decision! The employees were so accommodating. They gave us the best site to be protected from the storm and that wasn’t too hard to navigate in and out of. They kept us informed of weather and utilities interruptions. They also had some great amenities that we were able to use. We highly recommend this particular Koa campground!
