My wife and sons caught fish but I did not, afterwards there were airsoft aficionados and it felt awkward so we left.

Favorite swimming place to bring our pups!!! Plenty of room to run around. My friend and I went a few days ago with our dogs, we all had so much fun! It was great to see other people there too with their pups. There's only one picnic table, but that didn't matter. Everyone had there own spot carved out, blankets for sunning or simply relaxing. There were a couple of families there and we all intermingled with each other. It was like being at the dog park except NOT nearly as crowded, the lake is there to cool off, not only for the dogs but also for us. Someone had brought a speaker so we had terrific music going and, no one had any issues with dogs not getting along! Can't wait for another day off and the weather being perfect for a swim again!!!

Only thing I have to say is that, if you're deciding to go out to lake thunderbird, I'd definitely recommend that you get out there before the grass starts to dry out, it'll be nothing but stickers all over the place, not fun for the dogs, and not fun for your feet as well...

Which personally, I'm pretty bummed about seeing as it's the only place that I know of to get out and have some fun in the sun and swim for everyone. 😔
