About Campground

Tips for Lake Murray camping: From the park office, head north and take the winding road to Tipp’s Point, Cedar Cove and Elephant Rock campgrounds. Known as the most popular campgrounds on the lake’s west side, these campgrounds boast all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. All three areas feature RV camping, as well as comfort stations with showers, picnic pavilions, boat ramps and playgrounds. If you’re not camping, you can still enjoy the swim beaches and direct lake access these areas offer for only $5 per car. Tent camping areas, plenty of room for big RVs, direct access to the wooded Buckhorn Trail and stunning lake views make these campgrounds a sure-fire hit.

We had a great time at the tail end of Memorial Day weekend. Most of the holiday campers were already gone. We will be back with all of our toys.

Super clean beaches, campsite was level and clean, good hiking trails and fun atmosphere. Though it's a drive for us, we'll be back!

One of Oklahoma's finest state parks. This park is what a state park should be. The camping sites are great, with good clean electric, good water pressure and concrete pads that are for the most part level. Lake Murray is super clear and deep, which makes it a perfect all around lake for fishing, boating, swimming kayaking, etc.

The boat ramp at Elephant Rock is on the shallow side. In the summer not big deal but in the winter you will have to get your feet wet. I would suggest using the marina ramp in the fall/winter.

I'll never complain about taking the RV and boat down here to camp and fish. Great place !

We stayed at campsite #58 and it was PERFECT. Some of these spots are right on the lake and you almost even have your private little beach area. It's perfect spot to plant your kayaks for a quick ride on the lake. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well-kept. I felt safe in the area as well. I am only disappointed that the weather pushed us out a day early. The area was dog friendly (despite one camper leaving their howling dog outside in the rain). We bought a stake and leash on Amazon and it was perfect.
