About Campground

Lake Murray State Park is Oklahoma's first and largest state park consisting of 12,500 acres of forested, rolling hills around beautiful Lake Murray. The park's diverse terrain, exceptional trails and historic sites make Lake Murray State Park a favorite destination among outdoor, water sport and ATV riding enthusiasts.

Staying at the park is easy with your choice between RV and tent campgrounds, 56 cabins dotted throughout beautiful Lake Murray State Park and a modern lodge. Make your online reservation for an RV or tent site. Some RV sites feature full hookups, with a variety of pull-through sites, and bath and shower houses. Six campgrounds are open 24 hours a day, and Elephant Rock, Cedar Cove and Tipps Point are gated. Other campgrounds include Duke's Forest, ATV campground, Martin's Landing, Rock Tower, Marietta Landing and Buzzard's Roost. Three seasonal group camps are also located within the park.

For a more secluded experience, book one of the park's 56 cabins, many of which are historic structures built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. These state park cabins feature everything from cozy cottages for two up to large family-size cabins. For a small fee, pets are allowed in select cabins

We stayed in a cabin this week and had a great time at the Lake. Cabin is in need of an update but everything functioned as expected. If you plan on cooking in the cabin, bring anything you would need to cook or season with. No pans, utensils, plates, seasonings, etc. are in the cabin. No biggie if you know in advance. Pool is great and they have a nice area for the kiddos. Bring your beach towel. Lots of trails, sandy beaches and places to kick back are available. The water in this lake is amazing! So clean. Lodge staff was very friendly each encounter. Probably try the Lodge rooms next. We will definitely be back!

Great location with nice view of the lake!! While the room cleanliness was not what we expected the staff came and took care of things right away. Nice restaurant with seating over looking the water. Had a blast kayaking, jet skiing and boating! Very family friendly with a pool and beach play area. Will go again.

*****Just swung in taking a gander around and must say I was surprised. The lake looks awesome, the marina is close and the food was there but we didn't have time to eat when we had other plans and quickly made a stop.

Would really like to have the full experience it's just a bit to drive not to stay over and we had other arrangements.

The little speedboat needs more information on it, things like how it got there and why. The engine specs, is it custom....are these welcomed to race on that lake...(it's an idea) I wouldn't mind.

No occupancy on the lake, no fisherman or skiers were seen it was just dead as far as that goes but has great potential of events.

Love the location, the potential, atmosphere somewhat lacking in areas, kinda dull like at an airport, but it's not a nursing home.

Will have to try the restaurant out!

We visited here two years ago for our anniversary and was very pleased. Soggy Bottoms was still in operation so overall we had a great stay and meal! Since, Foggy Bottoms had legal issues and went out of business. The new restaurant is no good and this visit started off poorly.

It was raining and instead of putting us in the lodge attached to the main building with an elevator, they put us in the furthest building and upstairs with only stairs. We weren’t expecting to have to carry our items in the rain and all. And then climb stairs in the dark. It was good to see the room was just the same though.

We walked out to the balcony to see the view and noticed the rocking chairs were sitting in the rain so again another thing not good. We enjoyed sitting in them with blankets and layers of clothes just enjoying the view…

So I've been coming here for years, and never get tired of Lake Murray. The views are beautiful, the park is incredibly well maintained, and there's no shortage of things to try or do. The lodge staff is knowledgeable, and friendly, and the lodge master has been here for years, and you can tell he's passionate about maintaining the quality of this place! It's extremely clean, and every event I've been here for has gone very smoothly, with meticulous attention given to every detail. The rooms are gorgeous, and have views to match! And most if not all of the rooms within the lodge have a balcony that opens directly to a lakefront view. I challenge anyone to come here and not feel just at least a little bit more relaxed and at peace.
