Beautiful place to get out in nature! There are a number of trails to discover, both long and short. There is a campground as well for those who want to stay overnight and experience more of what Morgan Monroe has to offer.

Love this place. Unfortunately logging has been hard on the non man made trails and the creek beds these last few years.

I guess it's worth noting, one persimmon tree remains directly to their club house in the campground now.

Always had a great time here. The gentleman at the front office Friday was very helpful in answering my questions about which campsites to use, costs, etc that. He recommended Rock Shelter Trail which was amazing! The pictures do not do that trail justice at all!

It was my first time back since last fall at Oak Ridge, and this time brought my wee lass and some new friends to enjoy and overnight at Mason Ridge. Fellow campers were quiet and there wasn't any loud partying or that sort of thing.

We're definately going to return again soon with more friends and possibly enjoy dispersed camping in the middle of nowhere (the best way to camp imho 😎).

This was a really nice forest with a paved trail that goes along side the road. Clean bathroom in the park ranger center, along with several out house style facilities along the trail. Exiting the forest from the main road to the north works, but the road is a combination of poorly paved surfaces and gravel until you exit the forest. It's a beautiful and peaceful place. We did pass one small playground, and it looked like camping was available.

Did the 3 lakes trail. Lots of elevation changes and is pretty advanced. Took me about 4 hours to do. Make sure to bring spare shoes and socks as you WILL be getting wet. There isn't much signage, but there are white diamonds throughout the trail so you won't get lost. The roads going into the park are pretty rough. They aren't paved, gravel roads, and have some pretty gnarly pot holes. So keep your low boys at home and drive a junker or SUV.
